Gunderson, Dean Earn HPH Silversword Athlete Honors

Chaminade University men's golfer Colby Gunderson (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Castle) and Michaella Dean (Irvine, Calif./Orange Lutheran) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for competition between Feb. 21 and 27.
 
Gunderson carded a 54-hole total of 236 at the Bay Area Invitational in Pleasanton, Calif., the lowest by the Silverswords' team. His first round 3-over-par 75 was also the lowest single round score by the 'Swords in the tournament.
 
Dean totaled 20 points, 25 rebounds, four assists and eight steals in the Silverswords' season-ending games at Hawai'i Hilo and Hawai'i Pacific. In her final game as a 'Sword at HPU on Sunday, she posted 12 points and 16 rebounds for her fifth career double-double, all coming in a 34-day span. She also had four steals and two assists.
