LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team has been recognized as a United States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award recipient for the 2021-22 academic term.
It marks the fourth consecutive year – and six of the last seven – the Silverswords have been honored by the AVCA for their work in the classroom.
Over 1,200 men's, women's and beach teams in the collegiate and high school ranks were honored.
To be a USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award recipient, teams must maintain a minimum combined grade-point average of 3.30 during the 2021-22 academic calendar.
