LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team is ranked No. 18 in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Coaches Top 25 Poll released Monday.
The Silverswords, who were idle last week, dropped down one spot, receiving 380 points.
Cal Poly Pomona, whom the 'Swords swept back on Sept. 2, is the highest West Region team in the poll at No. 13 followed by Cal State San Bernardino at No. 14. Central Washington is just one spot ahead of Chaminade at 17. Seattle Pacific made its debut in the poll at 21 while Cal State Los Angeles is 23rd.
The top five teams in the D-II rankings are unchanged with Wayne State of Nebraska, Concordia-St. Paul, Tampa, Missouri-St. Louis and West Texas A&M, respectively.
The Silverswords (13-2, 2-2 Pacific West Conference) are back in action after nine days off when they open a four-match road trip Wednesday at Dominican University of California.
