Oliver Horgan (Reno, Nev./Cal Poly Humboldt/Galena HS) and women's cross country runner
Nikiji Dayse (Memphis, Tenn./Bartlett HS) have been named the Hawai`i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1.
Dayse crossed the finish line in 24 minutes and 49 seconds for a second-place finish at Saturday's 6-kilometer Hawai'i Hilo Invitational at the Grand Naniloa Resort Banyans Golf Course. Dayse's efforts helped the women's team finish first in the competition.
Horgan, a junior forward, scored the Silverswords' lone goal against Academy of Art in the 54th minute on Thursday. It was his first goal of the season.
