11/15/2023 12:08:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team remained at the top of the final official NCAA West Region Rankings, released by the NCAA on Wednesday.

The Silverswords (28-3, 16-3 Pacific West Conference) continue to lead the top of the region followed by Cal State San Bernardino at No. 2. Cal Poly Pomona jumped to third while Point Loma fell to fourth. Cal State Los Angeles, Seattle Pacific, San Francisco State and Central Washington are fifth through eighth, respectively. Sonoma State and Cal State East Bay are Nos. 9 and 10.

The top eight teams in the rankings will gain berths into the regional and will be unveiled at next week's NCAA Selection Show. Point Loma has already earned the PacWest's automatic qualifier and is the first team to ensure a spot. Chaminade, which rose to No. 14 in the AVCA Division II Poll released Monday, has likely earned an at-large berth.

The NCAA Selection Show will be on Monday at 2:30 p.m. Hawai'i time and will be shown on NCAA.com.

The Silverswords will finish the regular season on Friday at 5 p.m. against Hawai'i Hilo. Seniors Greta Corti (Varese, Italy/Univ. of San Francisco/Alessandro Manzoni Liceo HS), Hula Crisostomo (Honolulu/Univ. of Texas El Paso/Moanalua HS) and Sophie Schilling (Berlin, Germany/Alaska/Schul- and Leistungsportszentrum Berlin HS) will be honored.
