IRVINE, Calif. – Chaminade University outside hitter Greta Corti (Varese, Italy/Univ. of San Francisco/Alessandro Manzoni Liceo HS) on Tuesday was named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week while the Silverswords earned the Team of the Week award.

Corti accounted for 39 kills, 23 digs, six blocks and two service aces during the week to help the Silverswords wrap up their final regular season road trip with three wins. In her last eight matches, Corti has totaled 118 kills and averaged 4.07 kills per set, which moved her into the PacWest's top 10 in kills at No. 8 at 3.03 per set. She is also third in the conference in aces average at a 0.39 clip.

The senior has 846 career kills at Chaminade and needs six to pass Joan Lilio to move into the program's top 10 all-time in the category. She also has 118 career aces and needs to two to pass Karlen Porter for second on the career list.

The 'Swords, who on Monday remained at No. 15 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Poll, earned the team award for the fourth time this season after improving to 26-3 on the year and need one win to match the 2021 squad for most in a season. During the road trip, they handed Biola just its second home loss of the season while their 3-0 win at Azusa Pacific was just the third time in the past three years the Cougars suffered a home road sweep.

Chaminade will finish the regular season with three straight home matches starting Friday against Dominican University of California. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
