Ross Reeves (Orem, Utah/Snow College/Orem HS) and pitcher
Ashley Ogata (Mililani, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Mililani) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Feb. 27 and March 5.
Reeves had 17 points, two rebounds and three steals for the men's basketball team in their final game of the season which came last Thursday against Academy of Art at home at McCabe Gymnasium in the PacWest Championships. The redshirt freshman was 7-of-11 from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers.
Ogata helped the softball team defeat Concordia University Irvine, 8-7, on Friday, getting the win after throwing 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and three runs. She retired the final three batters in order to earn the victory in the circle. It was the Silverswords' first win over CUI in 23 years, also ending a 22-game losing streak to the Golden Eagles.
