Ethan Alexander (New Rochelle, N.Y./Fordham Prep) and softball player
Larchelle Tuifao (Ewa Beach, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Kapolei) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between April 17 and 23.
Alexander was in contention during first two rounds of the Pacific West Conference Golf Championships in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The freshman was just three shots off the lead after 36 holes before finishing at 11-over-par, tied for 13th place overall.
Tuifao hit .444 (4-for-9) to help the softball team split their doubleheader at Hawai'i Hilo last weekend. The sophomore designated player was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a pair of runs in their 8-3 opening win. She followed it up with a 2-for-5, two runs and an RBI performance in the nightcap, helping the Silverswords stay in contention for a PacWest Tournament berth.
