Michelle Richardson on Sunday announced the 2023 recruiting class that will be with the squad this fall.
Breylyn-May Bactista is a freshman midfielder from Mililani High School in Mililani, O'ahu, helping the Trojans capture the 2023 O'ahu Interscholastic Association regular season title.
Delaney Buntin is a junior college transfer from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, where she helped the Aztecs qualify for two NJCAA national tournaments including a runner-up finish in 2021. The forward wrapped up her two-year career at Pima with 25 career goals.
Kylie Ifuku is a freshman midfielder from Kaiser High School in Honolulu, earning All-OIA Second Team honors as a senior. She also earned first team and all-state honors during the 2019-20 season during her sophomore season at Kaiser.
Kenna Kiefer is a freshman from Cienega High school in Vail, Arizona, where she was the Bobcats' team captain and graduated with high honors.
Lily Leaño is a freshman defender from Hawai'i Baptist Academy in Honolulu. Playing for PAC-5 (a conglomerate of small schools from the Interscholastic League of Honolulu), she helped the Wolfpack win consecutive Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Division II titles as a junior and senior. Leaño also earned all-state honorable mention honors this past season.
Kaila Levoit is a junior college transfer from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California, earned All-Orange Empire Conference Second Team honors in her only season as a Rustler in 2022. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Shaley Mercado is from Kaiser High School in Honolulu where she was an All-OIA East Division First Team selection as a junior in 2018 and senior in 2019. During her junior year, she helped the Cougars to a fourth-place finish in the HHSAA Division I Championships. Mercado has spent the past four years as a competitive surfer and joins the Silverswords as a sophomore.
Giselle Montiforte is a freshman defender of Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California. During her senior season, she helped Hart complete a trifecta, winning the Foothill League, California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Division II and CIF State SoCal Division II Regional championships.
Kierra Reid is a freshman from Dixie High School in St. George, Utah, where she was the team's two-time captain. The defender earned all-state honors and was the squad's most valuable player as a senior.
Brynn Shimabukuro is transferring from Division I South Dakota State, a perineal Summit League power. The midfielder played in nine matches for the Jackrabbits in 2022 and totaled 128 minutes with one assist. Shimabukuro is a 2022 Aiea High School graduate, earning two All-OIA West Division Second Team honors and an OIA Division I championship as a freshman.
Alexys Taira is a freshman defender from Pearl City High School in Pearl City, O'ahu, where she earned All-OIA First Team and second team all-state honors during her senior year and was the Chargers' Most Valuable Player.
Following a pair of warm-up competitions with a scrimmage against NAIA Multnomah next Monday and an exhibition against Lincoln on Wednesday, Aug. 30, the Silverswords will open the regular season on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Northwest Nazarene at Saint Louis Field.
