LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team is ranked No. 14 in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Coaches Poll which was released Monday.
The Silverswords shot up six spots in the poll, their highest ranking in their Division II era which began in 1990. Chaminade took all three matches in Southern California this past weekend while their 11-0 start is the best in program history.
Concordia-St. Paul is the new No. 1 in D-II followed by previously top-ranked and defending national champion West Texas A&M at second. Cal State San Bernardino is the highest ranked West Region team at No. 10.
The 'Swords open Pacific West Conference action Thursday when they make the short drive to the Shark Tank in Manoa Valley and face longtime in-city rival Hawai'i Pacific University at 7 p.m.
