HONOLULU – Chaminade University Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Buning announced Tuesday the promotion of women's volleyball's
Kolby Kanetake to Associate Head Coach.
"Kolby's elevation to the Associate Head Coach is a well-deserved recognition of his talent and contributions to Silverswords Volleyball's unprecedented success," Dr. Buning said. "He is a joy to work with and is recognized across the athletics department and by all of our student-athletes for his tireless efforts."
Kanetake is currently in his fourth year with Chaminade volleyball. Since joining the program as an assistant during the non-championship spring 2021 season, the Silverswords are 68-23 with a 42-12 mark in the Pacific West Conference. In the past two as the team's top assistant, the 'Swords own a 61-14 record including 36-4 in the conference, along with two PacWest championships.
Off the court, the program also has high academic marks with team grade-point averages above 3.30.
Kanetake is also involved in other programs within the athletics department including as an advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
