Chaminade University guards
Ross Reeves (Orem, Utah/Snow College/Orem HS) and
Sameera Elmasri (Shawnee, Kan./Birmingham-Southern Univ./Saint Thomas Aquinas HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Jan. 15-22.
Reeves totaled 50 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and five steals during the week. The redshirt sophomore tied his career-high with seven 3-pointers and a season-high 30 points against Dominican, then notched a 20-point outing against Hawai'i Pacific to finally end a string of three straight home losses to their in-city rival.
Elmasri totaled 30 points and 19 rebounds during the week. She recorded her second double-double of the season with an 18-point, 11-rebound outing – the latter a career-high – which helped to end a 40-game losing streak to HPU over a span of nearly 17 years.
