HONOLULU – The Chaminade University beach volleyball team falls 0-5 to both Pepperdine and Saint Mary's in Thursday's matches in the University of Hawai'i Manoa Heineken Queens Cup at Queens Beach in Waikiki.
Match 1: Pepperdine 5, CUH 0
Chaminade's No. 1 pairing of Mahala Ka'apuni (Hilo, Hawai'i/Alaska Anchorage/Hilo HS) and Malena Mihalik (Santa Fe, Argentina/San Eugenio) fell to Kate Clermont and McKenna Thomas, 21-9 and 21-12.
The No. 2 squads of Greta Corti (Varese, Italy/Univ. of San Francisco/Alessandro Manzoni Liceo HS) and Hula Crisostomo (Honolulu/Univ. of Texas El Paso/Moanalua HS) lose to Madison Oriskovich and Kristine Briede, 21-15 and 21-18.
Chaminade's No. 3 pairing of Sophie Schilling (Berlin, Germany/Alaska/Schul- and Leistungsportszentrum Berlin HS) and Elli Tsukano (Austin, Texas/James Bowie) lost their match 21-17 and 21-13 to Sarlota Svobodova and Gabriella Perez.
The No. 4 team which includes Kanoelehua Misipeka (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Liberty North (Kan.) and DeLaney Poling (Gilbert, Ariz./Park Univ./Perry HS) fell to Gracie Pedersen and Kaydon Meyers, 21-14 and 21-16.
The No. 5 pairing for CUH, Leilani Ama (Spokane, Wash./Mt. Spokane) and Grace Talpash (Temecula, Calif./University of Oklahoma/Great Oak HS) lose 21-10 and 21-14 against Emi Erickson and Aubrey Roberts.
Match 2: Saint Mary's 5, CUH 0
The No. 5 pairing of Kanoelehua Misipeka (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Liberty North (Kan.) and DeLaney Poling (Gilbert, Ariz./Park Univ./Perry HS) are defeated by Nya Crump and Paola Peralta, 21-16 and 21-10.

The Silverswords will be back in action in the Heineken Queens Cup Thursday as they face the 2023 indoor national runners-up Nebraska at 11:30 a.m., followed by Boise State at 3:15 p.m. to complete pool play.
