Three Chaminade University student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large Team.
Sina Bauer (Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany/Maximillian-von-Montgelas Gymnasium Vilsbiburg) and
DeLaney Poling (Gilbert, Ariz./Park University/Perry HS) were recognized in beach volleyball while
Tanner Capik (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills) was honored in men's golf.
Bauer, a sophomore in Event and Sport Management, played in 17 of the Silverswords' 18 matches this past season, the second-most on the team and was one of five 'Swords with four victories. Bauer was also recognized on the CSC Academic All-District team last fall in indoor volleyball.
Like Bauer, Poling also tallied four wins this past season in her third and final season for the Silverswords. The Business Administration graduate played in 38 career matches for the team while her 10 career victories ranks fourth in the three-year history of the program.
Capik played all 24 rounds for the Silverswords during the season, finishing off his sophomore campaign with a 229, tied for second on the team at the season-ending PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship in Florida last month. The Historical and Political Studies major finished the 2025-26 season with a score-adjusted average of 79.9. His 41 total birdies during the year was the third-highest among the team.
To be recognized on the Academic All-District At-Large team in both sports, candidates must be a sophomore both academically and athletically, have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and be in the lineup for 75 percent of the school's competition. In men's golf, student-athletes can also be in the lineup in the conference championship tournament.
Institutions can nominate up to six men's and six women's for at-large consideration. The At-Large category comprises of student-athletes who participate in Olympic sports.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
