Chaminade University men's golfer
Zachary DuBourdieu (Carlsbad, Calif./Sage Creek) and softball pitcher
Ashley Ogata (Mililani, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Mililani) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for competition between April 8 and 14.
DuBourdieu set a school record by carding a 2-under-par 215 at the RGJA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona. The sophomore became the first Silversword to finish a 54-hole event under par, passing the former record by three shots. He also helped led the 'Swords shoot an 883, another school record low for a 54-hole tournament.
Ogata threw 11 innings during the softball team's series last weekend against the University of Hawai'i Hilo. The sophomore allowed no runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. On Sunday, she twirled her first career complete-game shutout in a 3-0 win and had a base hit which led to a run.
