Chaminade University softball's
Summer Buck (Honolulu/Kaiser) and baseball's
Mac Elske (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lower Columbia CC/Lakeridge HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between April 15 and 21.
Buck drove in both of the Silverswords' runs in their Saturday doubleheader at the University of Hawai'i Hilo. At the time, the freshman's two-run single in the opener tied the game at 2 and helped send it into extra innings.
In the 'Swords' first-ever meeting against Division I University of Hawai'i Manoa, Elske got the starting nod and retired all nine batters he faced on just 28 pitchers. He helped the pitching staff limit the Rainbow Warriors to just two runs on four hits.
