Athletes of the Week

Navyac, Misipeka Named Hawai‘i Pacific Health Silversword Athletes of the Week

4/30/2024 1:42:00 PM

Chaminade University baseball's JT Navyac (Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Cal State Fullerton/Saint Louis HS) and beach volleyball's Kanoelehua Misipeka (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Liberty North, Kan.) are the final Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for competition between April 22 and 28.

Navyac had a pair of hits and two RBI in last weekend's season-ending series against Hawai'i Pacific University. In the final game of his collegiate career on Sunday, he got the start on the mound and, in dominant fashion, struck out the side in order. He later drove in a run in his final career at-bat.

Misipeka, teaming with DeLaney Poling, won all three matches against HPU last week to help the Silverswords achieve a season sweep of the Sharks. Two of their matches were two-set sweeps while the other was a come-from-behind win after dropping their first set in Saturday's match.
