Kamryn Lopez (Bakersfield, Calif./Garces Memorial) and men's golfer
Ky Stopp (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between April 1-7.
Lopez made appearances in all eight of the Silverswords' games during the week, coming out of the bullpen. She totaled 27 innings, allowing six runs, four unearned with an ERA of 1.04 during that span. In last weekend's series against Academy of Art, the sophomore did not allow an earned run in 16 innings and won both games on Saturday.
Stopp concluded the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Arizona, as the 'Swords low scorer, shooting a 7-over-par 151. In all six tournaments, the freshman has finished no lower than third in team finishes.
