Chaminade University cross country runners
Kalama Francisco (Pahoa, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Hawai'i) and
Nikiji Dayse (Memphis, Tenn./Bartlett) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Nov. 3-9.
Francisco completed his freshmen season at Saturday's NCAA West Regional in Monmouth, Oregon. Running as an individual, he gained valuable experience against runners from other west region program and had a finishing time of 38:39.17 in the 10-kilometer race.
Dayse was the 89th runner to cross in the 6-k women's race. Her overall finish was the lowest since 2012 and her finishing time of 22:16.97 is the best ever time by a Silversword in a West Regional.
