Safea Villaruz-Mauai (Hilo, Hawai'i/BYU/Waiakea HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Feb. 17-23.
Buttery held her own during her No. 5 singles match against Hawai'i Hilo's Lehua Jordan, winning four total games on Thursday. She was the only Silversword to win multiple games in both sets during the week.
Villaruz-Mauai homered three times including two grand slams while driving in nine during the week. He homered in both games of the Feb. 17 twin bill at Azusa Pacific including a grand slam in the first game. The senior added his second granny of the week in Saturday's series finale at nationally ranked Westmont.
