Desiree Bravo (Corona, Calif./Mt. San Antonio College/Centennial HS) and
Casey Kudell (Irvine, Calif./Irvine Valley College/Irvine HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between March 3-9.
Bravo batted .556 (5-for-9) during the softball team's three-game series against Concordia University Irvine which included a 5-4 win on Wednesday, handing the Golden Eagles their first PacWest Conference defeat and only loss in their Hawai'i trip. Two of those games were multi-hit contests, which helped to extend her hitting streak to seven.
Kudell hit .389 (7-for-18) for the baseball team while driving in runs in five of their six games during the week, totaling six RBI. He drove in the walk-off double in last Monday's win over CUI then delivered the go-ahead run in the seventh inning in the Silverswords' win over Biola on Thursday. Kudell ended the weekend with a five-game hitting streak.
