GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Chaminade University baseball team was recognized for academic excellence by being named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Sports Attack Team Academic Excellence Award.
The Silverswords earned the award for the second straight year after the team earned a 3.33 grade-point average for the 2024-25 academic year.
The 'Swords were one of five Pacific West Conference teams to be recognized by the ABCA for their work in the classroom. Chaminade was the only Hawai'i collegiate institution to make the list.
More than 400 college and 300 high school programs were honored for their academic success by the ABCA this past season.
To be eligible for the ABCA/Sports Attack Team Academic Excellence Award, teams must have a minimum 3.00 GPA during the academic year and the team's head coach be a member of the ABCA.
