LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team is ranked No. 24 in the first regular season AVCA Division II Coaches Poll released Monday.
Despite a slow start to their 2025 with a 2-5 mark, the Silverswords remain in the poll for a record-29th consecutive week.
The 'Swords will participate in a joint-hosted tournament with Hawai'i Pacific University for the second straight weekend. Chaminade will face Western Washington University to open the Aloha State Showdown on Thursday at 5 p.m. at McCabe Gymnasium. The Vikings and new Division II member UC Merced in the day's first match at 12 p.m.
The Silverswords will also face Central Washington on Friday at 5 p.m. then round out the tournament with a pair of matches on Saturday against Florida Tech at 10 a.m. and UC Merced at 6 p.m. Western Washington and Central Washington, both from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, are receiving votes in the AVCA poll.
Matches will also take place concurrently at HPU's Shark Tank.
