HONOLULU – Thursday's softball series finale between Chaminade University and Dominican University of California has been canceled due to rain caused by the power weather front approaching the islands.
The storm, which has put O'ahu under a flash flood warning and forced the closure of all public schools, the University of Hawai'i and Chaminade University on Friday, also is bringing powerful winds with gusts up to 60 mph.
The remainder of the series will not be made up.
The Silverswords hit the road for the next two weeks in four Pacific West Conference series in Southern California starting Tuesday at Azusa Pacific.
