ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Chaminade University men's golf team opened the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, hosted by Cal State East Bay, on Monday with a two-round total of 605 at the par-72 Corica Park Golf Course.
Chance Wilson (Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Enlightium Academy) and
Riley Born (Las Vegas/Odyssey) are the Silverswords' low scorers, both at 4-over-par 148, tied for 57th. Wilson fired an opening round even-par and went bogey free with two birdies in the final 10 holes. Born shot identical 74s in both rounds and finished the second round with consecutive birdies.
Tanner Capik (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills) is at 7-over 151 including a 2-over in the first round.
Cody Dao (Henderson, Nev./Liberty) is at plus-12 followed by
A.J. Dahlk (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) at 15-over.
Cal State San Marcos is the 36-hole leader at minus-10 while there is a three-way tie for the individual lead at 7-under.
The Shootout concludes on Tuesday with the 18-hole finale.
