SONOMA, Calif. – The Chaminade University men's golf team completed their final regular season tournament Tuesday with a seventh-place finish at the Dominican Spring Invitational at the par-72 Sonoma Golf Course.
The Silverswords had a three-round total of 931, although their final round score of 297 was their lowest 18 holes of the tournament.
Riley Born (Las Vegas/Odyssey) shot a final round 2-over-par 74 to finish 17th overall at 7-over 223.
Cody Dao (Henderson, Nev./Liberty), who had the team's best third round with a 1-over, was two shots behind at 225.
Chance Wilson (Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Enlightium Academy) completed the tournament with a three-round total of 239 followed by
A.J. Dahlk (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) at 246 and
Tanner Capik (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills) 252.
Cal State Dominguez Hills was the team champion at 874, seven shots better than runner-up Jessup University. Alex Elia from Vanguard was the individual champion at 3-under par.
The Silverswords are next in action at the Pacific West Conference Championships at the Aliante Golf Club in Las Vegas from April 20-22.
