HONOLULU – Chaminade University women's volleyball head coach
Kahala Kabalis Hoke on Wednesday announced six newcomers including four transfers to this fall's team.
Two of the transfers – setters
Allison Panter and
Shannon Sheehy – enrolled at Chaminade last January and were on the beach volleyball team this past spring.
Panter originally attended Portland State University in the 2024 and '25 seasons, playing in 48 matches and 132 career sets as a Viking. In 2025, the Denver, Colorado, native was fourth in the Big Sky Conference in assists at 4.23 per set. Panter played six matches with the Silverswords' beach squad this past spring.
Sheehy began her collegiate career at the University of San Francisco and, in her only season with the Dons in 2024, totaled 88 assists and 22 digs in 51 sets. Like Panter, the Phoenix, Arizona, native saw action in six matches with the beach squad.
Panter will have two seasons of eligibility remaining while Sheehy has three.
The other two transfers are outside hitters
Anna Panchartek and
Siria Guerini.
Panchartek, a Czech Republic native, spent the last two seasons at Southeastern Louisiana, seeing action in four sets in 2025. She will have three seasons of eligibility.
Guerini comes to Chaminade in a non-traditional route. Instead of attending an American university, she studied at Universita Telematica Pegaso in her native Italy. In the meantime, Guerini played for Pallavolo Don Felice Colleoni, a club team in the Italian Serie B1 League this past year. Colleoni is the same club squad that former Silversword and 2022 Pacific West Conference Newcomer of the Year Sasha Colombo played for. She has other international experience with Bellinzona Volley in Switzerland from 2023-25. Guerini will have two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
The remaining two 'Swords recruits are freshmen.
Cheyenne Chanche is a defensive specialist and libero from Harlan High School in San Antonio, Texas, earning first team all-district honors while setting the school record in career service aces.
Hailee Tamayo is a defensive specialist and libero from Point Loma High School in San Diego, California. She was a member of the Pointers' varsity all four years and on the school's Honor Roll.
The 'Swords return 12 letterwinners from last season's team that finished third in the Pacific West Conference. Among the returnees are right-side hitter
Tabby Allen and middle blocker
Reina Krueger, both All-PacWest Second Team selections a year ago, and outside hitter
Lillie Hinton, the PacWest Co-Freshman of the Year.
The Silverswords will open the 2026 season on Monday, Aug. 17 with an exhibition at Division I University of Hawai'i. Regular season action begins Thursday, Aug. 20 in the Hawai'i-Alaska Challenge against Alaska Anchorage in Hilo. The 'Swords' first home match will be Thursday, Sept. 3 against Saint Martin's in the Hawai'i Challenge.
