LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team on Thursday was named a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
The Silverswords posted a 3.30 team grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year.
It is the ninth time in the past 10 years the 'Swords were recognized for the honor.
To earn the AVCA Team Academic Award, programs need to have a minimum 3.30 GPA on a 4.00 scale during the academic year. A total of 1,432 indoor and beach collegiate and high school teams and men's programs were recognized by the AVCA for their academic work this past season.
