Honolulu, HI- The Swords fell to Grand Canyon 5-0 this morning at St. Louis Field.
The match remained scoreless in the opening 28 minutes before the 'Lopes Karley Nelson put GCU on top 1-0. Grand Canyon added goals by Nichole Elias and Angela Russell before the break to make it 3-0 at the half.
Elias had 11 shots on the day for the 'Lopes. Kaylen Jackson added two goals in the second half for the 5-0 victory.
Chaminade managed four shots to GCU's 28.
Marissa Minor had 9 saves in defeat.
With the loss, the Lady Swords fall to 1-14. Grand Canyon moves to 6-11-1 overall. Chaminade is back in action against NDNU on November 5th. Game time is set for 10:00 AM HT at St. Louis Field. The match concludes Chaminade's season.
