Marissa Faye tallies goal for Swords

Minor stopped 16 shots against GCU

Honolulu, HI- The Swords took on the 'Lopes of Grand Canyon today in a Pac West conference match-up and fell by the score of 4-1.  GCU got the game winner in the 12th minute off the foot of Aislinn Finfrock.  The Antelopes added another in the 15th minute to go into the half up 2-0.   

 

The Swords continued to fight in the second half and Marissa Faye (Waimea, HI/Hawaii Prep) scored for the Swords in the 87th minute.  Faye took three other shots on goal for Chaminade.   

 

Marissa Minor (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena) stopped 16 shots for CUH.  Haley Miller got one shot on goal for the Swords. 

 

The Swords were out-shot 41-6.  Viviana Zumpano and Aislinn Finfrock scored two goals apiece for Grand Canyon.

 

With the loss, the Swords move to (0-11).  Grand Canyon moves to 6-6-2.  Chaminade is back in action at home on October 24th against Dominican.  The game is set for 2:00 PM HT.
