CUH WVB: Swords Falls to UH-Hilo 3-0

Chaminade to face BYU-Hawaii on Nov. 6th

Honolulu, HI- The Swords lost to Pac West Conference leader UH-Hilo in three sets (15-25, 19-25, 18-25) this evening in McCabe Gym. BoxScore.htm      

 

Freshman Kylee Pedro (Honolulu, HI/Mid-Pacific) had 5 kills in defeat.

Junior setter Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) had 16 assists for CUH. 

 

The Vulcans won the dig battle 38-30.  UH-Hilo won the battle of hitting percentage .283 to .000.   

 

The Vulcans were led by Josimara Pinheiro with 15 kills and 9 digs.  Katie Swenson added 34 assists in the win.    

 

With the loss, Chaminade drops to 4-20.  UH-Hilo moves to 23-1.  The Swords are back in action in their final home match of the season on Friday, Nov. 6th against BYU-Hawaii.  First serve is set for 7:00 PM HT in McCabe Gym.
