Waipahu, HI- Michael Jordan once said, “Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.” Chaminade did just that today against BYUH, they lost the first game by way of the mercy rule 9 to 0 and rallied back and won the second game 4 to 0.
The Swords started out really slow out of the gates today against the Seasiders and it showed, losing the first game 9 to 0. BYUH had 10 hits to CUH's 1 hit in the first game.
Chelsi Walls is charged with the loss. She faced 29 batters, gave up 10 hits, gave up 9 runs, struck out 3 and walked 1. She falls to 1 and 11 on the year.
Game # 2- The second game was how you would hope Chaminade would play every game. They had only 5 hits on 22 at bats, however those hits proved to be ones that counted as they pulled the out the shut out win over the Seasiders 4 to 0. Chelsi Walls had 2 RBI's on a single to centerfield. Chasity Senas and Skye Virtudes both batted in runs on hits of their own. Senas had a single and Virtudes scored on a sacrifice fly.
Kasy'e Lalau is the winning pitcher. She faced 21 batters, gave up 3 hits She only had 1 walk on the day and she did had 3 strikeouts, she pitched the entire 7 innings. She improves to 4 and 9 on the year.
With the spilt today Chaminade falls to 5-21on the season. The Swords do not have anymore home games. They travel to Dixie State and play them March 27th in a double header match up. First pitch is set for 12PM MST.
