PHOENIX, AZ- Chaminade fell this evening to Grand Canyon by a score of 3-0 in Pac West action.
GCU scored all three goals in the first half, the first coming in the first minute of action. All three goals for Grand Canyon were by junior forward Michelle Carels. The second and third goals were scored in the 22nd and 31st minutes of the first half, giving Carels her hat trick.
Chaminade senior goalkeeper Marissa Minor, (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena HS) stopped two Grand Canyon shots on goal on the evening.
CUH was out-shot 9-1 on the match.
With the loss, the Swords move to 2-13 (2-11 PWC) overall. Grand Canyon improves to 10-5-1 (8-4-1 PWC). Chaminade faces Grand Canyon on November 5th in Phoenix, AZ in the season finale. Game time is set for 8:00 PM MT.
