Golden, CO- The Swords dropped a three-set match with the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines this afternoon (10-25, 17-25, 14-25) in the 2010 Oredigger Volleyball Classic.

Poerava Gantt (Kapa'a, HI/Kapa'a) led with 7 kills in defeat for the Swords.

Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) finished with 17 assists for CUH. Freshman
Crystal Powell (Honolulu, HI/ Word of Life) added 9 digs in defeat.
The Swords lost the overall dig battle 33-39. The Orediggers won the battle of hitting percentage .272 to -.011.
Colorado School of Mines was led by Anna Padget-Shields with 11 kills. The Orediggers had 16 total blocks to the Swords 6.
With the loss, Chaminade drops to 0-2. Colorado School of Mines moves to 1-0. The Swords are back in action tomorrow against Slippery Rock at 2 PM MT.
