CUH WVB: Swords Struggle in Loss to BYU-Hawaii in Three Sets

Powell leads with 5 kills

LAIE, HI- Taking on BYU-Hawaii in the Cannon Activities Center the Swords fell to the Seasiders 25-9, 25-12 and 25-12.
 
Chaminade fell in three sets in a conference battle with BYU-Hawaii.  Sophomore Crystal Powell (Honolulu, HI/Word of Life) led with five kills. 
 
Senior setter Kristina Donathan (Honolulu, HI/St. Andrew's Priory) contributed 10 assists, while senior Kristy Inamasu (Kahului, HI/Maui) added 12 digs for CUH.   
 
The Swords had 30 digs while the Seasiders had 49..  CUH hit -.021on the match, while BYU-Hawaii hit .418. 
 
The Seasiders were led by Shih Ting Chen with 14 kills on a .400 hitting percentage. 
 
The Swords fall to 1-8 with the loss. BYU-Hawaii improves to 4-3.  Chaminade is back in action on September 21st at home vs. NDNU. First serve is set for 7:00 PM HT.
