Peterson, Abary Named Silversword Athletes of Week

Chaminade University men's golfer Schuyler Peterson (Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) and women's volleyball setter Alecza Abary (Fontana, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) are this week's Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week.
 
Peterson, a freshman, played in his first major collegiate tournament last week in the Dennis Rose Invitational at the challenging Waikoloa Kings' Course, carding a team-best score of 235. His best round was a 4-over-par 76 in the second round, his second-lowest round of the fall non-championship season.
 
Abary, a freshman, came off the bench and logged her first career double-double on Sunday against Hawai'i Hilo. She set season-highs of 24 assists and 11 digs while adding three service aces for the Silverswords who still sit atop the Pacific West Conference standings. It was Abary's fifth match with 20 or more assists this season.
