Donley, Bankofier Named HPH Athletes of Week

Chaminade University basketball players Eliet Donly (Yokosuka, Japan/Hayfield, Va., HS) and Ellyonna Bankofier (Happy Valley, Ore./Clackamas) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Athletes of the Week for games played between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5.
 
Donley set career highs with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists for the Silverswords men's basketball team in their quadruple-overtime thriller last Saturday against Biola. The senior forward made 6-of-11 shots from the field with a 3-pointer and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Eight of Donley's rebounds were on the offensive end.
 
Bankofier led the women's basketball team in scoring with 28 combined points against Pennsylvania and Biola, making 10 field goals including six 3-pointers. Against the Division I Quakers on Jan. 2, the sophomore guard sank five triples for 15 points then two days later against Biola, she added five more field goals for 13 points.
