Giving Tuesday Set for Dec. 1

Giving Tuesday was established as a global generosity movement in 2012 to unite and heal communities in good times and bad.

Giving Tuesday for Chaminade Athletics will take place on Dec. 1 this year. It will reflect the spirit of giving as an emergency response to answer the challenges and overcome the uncertainty unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"During these unprecedented and challenging times, Chaminade University Athletics remains committed to providing a championship-caliber educational experience for our student-athletes," said Dr. Tom Buning, Director of Athletics. "As a result, we are making a special call to the Chaminade community to rise— like true Silverswords — and support the program and student-athletes they hold dear."

Chaminade Athletics embraces this day's purpose by directing gifts made on Giving Tuesday to the Silversword Fund. Gifts to the Silversword Fund will provide strategic support to a variety of student-athlete centered initiatives and a broad range of critical areas to include operational support, and coaches' funding to address their respective sports' immediate needs."
