-- Updated March 14, 2020

Aloha Chaminade University student-athletes, family and friends of student-athletes!

Chaminade is closely monitoring the situation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Pacific West Conference including Chaminade University on Monday canceled the remainder of the spring sports season in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In addition to competition, all countable athletics-related activities such as practices and team meetings, are also canceled.

All 12 PacWest institutions, working with the conference office, made the decision unanimously, acting in accordance with the NCAA's mandates on competition and eligibility relief, in the best interests of health and safety of its student-athletes, coaches, athletic staffs and fans.

The affected spring sports at Chaminade are men's golf, women's tennis and softball.

In conjunction with Chaminade University administrative decisions, athletics will follow the schedule below but is subject to change as warrants:

-- There will be no athletic competition (games, exhibitions, scrimmages).

-- During online (distance learning) instruction which began Monday, March 16 and until further notice, there will be no team-related activities including practices, strength training, conditioning programs and team meetings.

This status could change based on updates and guidance from the Department of Health or Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Chaminade Administration.
