Sept. 6, 2008: Women's Soccer Gets First Win
In the second game of their third season as an intercollegiate program, the Silverswords finally got their breakthrough moment.
Facing their in-city rival, Hawai'i Pacific University at Atherton Field in Kaneohe,
Marissa Faye fired a put-back goal off a rebound with 40 seconds left in the second overtime, giving the 'Swords a stunning 2-1 win. The victory was the fledgling program's first in 30 tries.
Goalkeeper
Marissa Minor made 11 saves for the 'Swords while junior midfielder Ku'ulei Agbayani scored the game's first goal in the opening half.
It remains the only win over HPU in team history.
