HONOLULU – Chaminade University Athletics on Thursday held its 10th Annual Athletics Awards Ceremony at the Sullivan Family Library lawn on the Chaminade campus. The ceremony returned to being an in-person event after being held virtually in 2020.
Awards for Most Outstanding, Most Inspirational and Scholar-Athlete (highest grade-point average) for all 10 intercollegiate programs were announced.
In the team awards for highest grade-point average, softball had the highest GPA among large rostered squads (11 or more participants) with a 3.583. In small rostered sports, men's cross country (10 or less) carried an aggregate of 3.718.
Isaac Amaral-Artharee of men's basketball was the Male Athlete of the Year while
Randi Fontes of women's soccer was the Female Athlete of the Year. The Silversword Award went to
Catrina Liner of women's tennis. These awards were announced at the Co-Curricular Awards on April 27.
