Chaminade University women's tennis player Catrina Liner (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis) was named Thursday to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 8 Women's At-Large Team, as voted by West region sports information directors.

Liner is one of 10 student-athletes and four tennis players in the West to be named to the at-large list which is comprised of participants from Olympic sports such as golf, swimming and skiing.

The senior finished her four-year athletic career as the Silverswords' No. 1 player in both singles and doubles. In all 67 of her career matches (34 singles 33 doubles), Liner was listed as the team's top player in the lineup sheet, often facing the opposing team's top players. She has eight career victories – four each in singles and doubles – including an upset of Dallas Baptist's regionally-ranked doubles team in the 2020 season opener.

In the classroom, Liner, a four-time Academic All-Pacific West Conference honoree, graduated this past May with her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.89. She is also the fifth Chaminade student-athlete in 2021 to be named to CoSIDA All-District Team.

Liner is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors which will be announced in early August.

The Division II CoSIDA Academic All-America program is partially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II Academic All-America programs.
