IRVINE, Calif. – The Chaminade University men's soccer team is picked to finish eighth in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

The Silverswords received 42 points, one more than Academy of Art. Hawai'i Pacific University is seventh with 63 points.
Two-time defending PacWest champion Azusa Pacific was selected by the coaches to again win the conference. APU also swept the preseason individual honors with James Ndubueze who was voted as the PacWest Preseason Player of the Year, Orlando Lozano the Defender of the Year and Brenden Fix the Goalkeeper of the Year.
The 'Swords open the season Saturday when they host HPU in a non-conference match at Saint Louis Field. Fans will not be allowed to attend the match as ordered by the City and County of Honolulu on limiting gatherings.
