Kyla Takazono (Pearl City, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Pearl City) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Sept. 19-25.
Anderson scored the team's first goal of the season to help the men's soccer team rally to a 1-1 draw in Friday's match at Hawai'i Hilo. It was his third career collegiate goal, two coming at his previous school at Cal State Monterey Bay.
Takazono helped the women's soccer team limit Hawai'i Pacific and Hawai'i Hilo to just three combined goals last week. As a key member of the team's defensive line, Takazono helped hold HPU to nine shots last Tuesday. Then on Friday at nationally-ranked UH Hilo, they held the Vulcans to 12 shots, tied for their fewest of the season.
