Editor's note: Includes the AVCA All-West Region honors released following the D2CCA teams.
The Chaminade University women's volleyball team placed three members on both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-West Region Volleyball Teams.
Â
Member coaches voted on the AVCA teams while the D2CCA teams were determined by members of athletic communications staffs across Division II's West Region.

Libero
Hula Crisostomo (Honolulu/Univ. of Texas El Paso/Moanalua HS) was named to the first teams by both organizations with right-side hitter
Ajack Malual (Rome, Italy/Tambosi ETI) earning AVCA First Team and D2CCA Second Team honors. Setter
Leilani Ama (Spokane, Wash./Mt. Spokane) was also named to the D2CCA Second Team while the AVCA recognized her as an honorable mention selection and the West Region Freshman of the Year.
Â
Crisostomo, the Pacific West Conference Libero of the Year, was everything she was envisioned to be, finishing the regular season with a league-leading 5.02 digs per set average. The graduate transfer from the University of Texas El Paso was selected by PacWest coaches as the preseason libero of the year even before putting on a Chaminade uniform. Crisostomo had 29 double-digit digs performances, 12 of which were 20 or more. Her digs average and total (572) are both on track to being the second highest in program history. She also had 43 service aces, seventh in the PacWest.
Â
Ama, the PacWest Setter and Freshman of the Year and All-PacWest First Team honoree, posted 29 matches with 20 or more digs while also tallying 18 double-doubles. Twelve of those double-doubles occurred with 30 or more assists. A six-rotation setter, Ama also totaled 81 kills, 39 total blocks and 19 aces.
Â
Malual, a first team all-conference performer, led the Silverswords in kills (368), kills per set (3.41), points (452.0) and points per set (4.19). The sophomore also led the PacWest aces (49) and aces per set (0.45) while hitting at a .280 clip. She also totaled 64 total blocks and 147 digs.
Â
Cal State Los Angeles outside hitter Emily Elliott was selected as both the AVCA and D2CCA West Region Player of the Year. Chaminade and Cal State San Bernardino both had three players land on the D2CCA all-region teams. Seattle Pacific's Jason Rhine was named the AVCA West Region Coach of the Year.
Â
The Silverswords will open the NCAA Division II Tournament on Thursday as the West Region's No. 1 seed against San Francisco State at Coussoulis Arena in San Bernardino, California. First serve is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Hawai'i time, pending the finish of the Cal State LA-Seattle Pacific match which precedes it. Video stream on NCAA.com will be on a pay-per-view basis.
