Fall 2023 Academic All-District Announced

Five Chaminade University fall sport student-athletes have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators Academic Division II All-District Teams.
 
Owen Caba (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) and Haley Mo'okini (San Gabriel, Calif./Gabrielino) were named to the All-District Teams for men's and women's soccer, respectively.
 
Greta Corti (Varese, Italy/Univ. of San Francisco/Alessandro Manzoni Liceo HS), Hula Crisostomo (Honolulu/Univ. of Texas El Paso/Moanalua HS) and Sophie Schilling (Berlin, Germany/Alaska/Schul- and Leistungsportszentrum Berlin HS) were named for women's volleyball.
 
Caba, a sophomore midfielder men's soccer team majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice, finished the 2023 season as the Silverswords' leader in points with eight while his four assists is tied for second all-time in single season program history.
 
Mo'okini, a sophomore defender, helped the women's soccer team win seven games for the third straight year. The Psychology major scored seven goals, the second highest in single season team history, with four game winners.
 
Corti helped the Silverswords to a banner season with a record 30 wins to capture the NCAA West Regional's top seed. The senior who is already in graduate school studying for her MBA finished second on the team with a 3.09 kills per set average, which was eighth in the Pacific West Conference while her 0.39 service aces per set was sixth.
 
Crisostomo put together one of the finest seasons at the libero spot, finishing as the conference's digs leader at 4.92 per set. The graduate student who is seeking her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP), finished in a four-way tie for aces per set at 0.36.
 
Schilling, who is also in the MSCP program, finished the year second in the PacWest in hitting percentage at .345. She also completed her final year second on the team in total blocks with 94.
 
All-District honorees are eligible for Academic All-America consideration.
 
The Division II CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division II Academic All-America programs.
