Scott Ator (Murphy, Texas/College of the Sequoias/Wylie HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between Dec. 11-18.
Escobedo had a solid all-around performance for the Silverswords in their Dec. 12 contest at Dominican. The freshman had eight points, five rebounds, four steals and a season-high six assists against the Penguins.
Ator totaled 43 points, 17 rebounds, nine blocks, four assists and three steals while shooting 69.2 percent in the team's three games. The senior hit the double-digit scoring column in all three, setting a personal record for consecutive double-digit scoring. During the Hoops in Hawai'i Holiday Classic against Lincoln and Texas Tyler, Ator averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks, all while going 14-for-20 (70.0 percent) from the floor.
