GREENWOOD, Ind. – Chaminade University women's tennis student-athletes
Sydney Danielson (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) and
Emily Ramirez Miranda (Honolulu/Kaiser) were named Tuesday to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic Division II All-West District® Teams.
Danielson is sophomore majoring in Data Science Analytics and Visualization who played all 12 singles and doubles matches for the Silverswords this past season. Ten of her singles came in the No. 4 position while in doubles, she saw eight as the 'Swords' top duo tandem.
Ramirez Miranda completed her four-year playing career with 11 singles appearances and six doubles matches in the 2023 season. The senior, who graduated with her degree in Environmental Science, has been recognized as a two-time academic honoree by both the Pacific West Conference and Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Danielson and Ramirez Miranda are now both eligible for CSC Academic All-America® consideration which will be announced in June.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
