LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University beach volleyball team on Wednesday was honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT.
The Silverswords, who just completed their inaugural season, earned a team grade-point average of 3.31. They are one of 17 NCAA Division II institutions sponsoring the beach volleyball recognized for the award.
To earn the AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a 3.3 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the 2023-24 academic year.
Over 1,400 volleyball programs across the nation spanning men's and women's collegiate and boys and girls high school were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.
