The Chaminade University women's tennis team has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for excellence in the classroom.
The Silverswords were honored as an ITA Division II All-Academic Team, marking the 10th straight season of earning the award. The squad posted a team grade-point average of 3.81 during the 2025-26 academic term, the highest among Chaminade's 12 intercollegiate programs. It was also the second highest in the Pacific West Conference, only behind Point Loma's 3.87.
Teams with a minimum GPA of 3.20 are honored for the All-Academic Team award.
In addition to the team honor, all seven 'Swords on the team were named as ITA Scholar-Athletes, marking the first time that the entire roster was recognized for the individual achievement.
Carine Bleasdell (Kihei, Maui, Hawai'i/Hawai'i Technology Academy),
Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway),
Kirra Carvalho (Lihue, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Kaua'i),
Berylin Lau (Wailuku, Maui, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Maui),
Hannah Lewis (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs),
Isabella Minaudo (Honolulu/Hawai'i Technology Academy) and
Danica Palmer (Philadelphia/Upper Merion Area) were all honored.
Buttery, a two-sport athlete who also was a starter for the women's basketball team, and Carvalho earned the Scholar-Athlete award for the fourth time while Bleasdell is a three-time awardee.
To earn the Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes need a minimum GPA of 3.50 during the current term.
